Holiday in Italy!

Two weeks of no Schlumberger! Some rest, site-seeing and sun...

During these two weeks I went on several day trips: Rome, Siena, Volterra, Pisa, Florence and off course the beach!

After school i thought it would be nice to visit my parents again but they were on holiday in Europe so we met in Italy at Pisa Airport. We stayed at a camping in Cecina in the caravan from my parents. i had a small tent in the tent before the caravan it was perfect. As I already told you we did a lot of site-seeing and the day we went to Rome we had to get up very early to catch the train. But i can say it was worth it.

Above you can find some pictures and in my photoalbum you can find all of them.

It were a nice two weeks and i can say I am ready to go to work again and see how every body is doing!

May going to June

Hey,

June just started but I can tell you May was a nice month. The first night shift experience with BBQ in the early hours. I thought night shift would be hard for me (morning person) but NO I like it. A lot of work and the weather was really nice.

The last weekend of May/June Dorien came to visit me for my birthday. It was the first time she came to visit me and i think she had a great time. On friday evening she came by train to Vechta and had a nice Italian dinner and afterwards to Markt 4 and Cubar to have a beer with some colleages. During the day on satuday we went shopping and in the evening we had my birthday party that ended at 5:30h the next morning. Sunday we had a lazy day with going to a lake and resting a bit. On monday I had to work again and Dorien went home.

This saturday I went to a party in Lutten with Sascha and Michael and also there we were having a crazy time.

Look at the pictures to get an impression of May going to June!

Bremen was great!

The last two saterdays I was in Bremen. The first weekend with my parents and the second one with two colleagues (Assem and Evelyn). The first weekend it was really cold so we made less pictures and did more shopping.

The last saterday we did a lot of sightseeing and even went to the science centre were we spend a couple of hours learning about chocolate and science stuff. After that we walked along the river and tried to get home to Vechta.... catching a train took us a bit longer then planned but at 23:30h I can say we were home. It was a really nice day!

Bremen is great!

Vechta the first week!

Hey!

it is Friday and this evening i will be here one week. In the first week i started on friaday evening with a girlsnight out. Most of the girls that work in SLB Vechta were there and we had a nice dinner. After dinner i went with some of them to a bar and we had some drinks.

I can say it was a nice welcome and I think we should do this with everyone who is coming to vechta for the first time.

During this friday I also saw me appartment for the first time. I have my own bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and livingroom. I will make pictures later and put them on the blog. I'm living at the philosophenweg 19.

On Monday i had to start my working week and on this day arranged safety equipment and i made sure that my computer was working. I also had a walk around the yard to see what schlumberger is doing here.

The rest of the week I worked a lot on learning the standards of SLB. Now at the end of the week i know more and more people. i also know that if everything goes according to the plan i will go to school In the USA (Kellyville)on the 12th of May. But before goingto school you have to finish a lot of pre-school work and this means a lot of learning and going to the field.

Tonight i will go out with some SLB friends and tomorrow my parents will come and bring me some extra cloths and dutch sweets and food.

By the way i have a bike here and i only live 15 minutes biking from work.
